Moss Garden Walk (~0.62 km one way) in Carnarvon National Park (Carnarvon Gorge) — a short side walk off the main gorge track into Violet Gorge to the Moss Garden, where water seeping from the sandstone keeps a wall of mosses, ferns and liverworts green above a small waterfall and pool. Reached by the main Carnarvon Gorge track. Remote area with little or no phone coverage: tell someone your plans, carry plenty of water and a map. Hot and exposed: start early and carry plenty of water. Seasonal: tracks may close after heavy rain, in the wet season or during fire management; check Queensland Parks alerts before you go.
