Beautiful Betsy Bomber Wreck Walk (~0.65 km one way) in Kroombit Tops National Park — a short forest walk on the Kroombit Tops plateau to the crash site of 'Beautiful Betsy', a US B-24D Liberator bomber lost in 1945 and found in 1994. The site is a memorial to the crew: please be respectful, stay on the track and do not touch or remove anything. Access roads on the plateau are 4WD only and close after rain. Remote area with little or no phone coverage: tell someone your plans, carry plenty of water and a map.
