Fern Tree Pool and Giant's Chair Circuit (~4.98 km loop) in Cania Gorge National Park — a QPWS Grade 3 circuit in the sandstone gorge, starting from the car park about 900 m south of Three Moon picnic area (QPWS lists 5.6 km including the access track). Walk it anticlockwise to reach Fern Tree Pool after about 2.5 km, then climb to Giant's Chair lookout for views over Cania Gorge before a steep descent with steps. The lookout has unfenced cliff edges, so supervise children closely. Allow about 3 hours, carry water and wear sturdy shoes. Hot and exposed: start early and carry plenty of water.
