Green Island Beach Walk (~1.36 km loop) in Green Island National Park — an easy loop on the sand around Green Island, a small vegetated coral cay on the Great Barrier Reef about 27 km off Cairns, with views over the reef flat and back to the Wet Tropics ranges. Look out for reef herons and other shorebirds. Do not walk on the reef flat or disturb wildlife, and use sun protection. Access is by boat only. Hot and exposed: start early and carry plenty of water. Check in at GPS points to earn ACTIVE Coins. Queensland walking quest for Active Quests / PUML.
