Zamia Walk to Sleipner Lookout — Mount Archer NP (Rockhampton)

Zamia Walk to Sleipner Lookout (~1.67 km one way, about 3.4 km return) in Mount Archer National Park — the upper section of the Zamia walk from the Nurim summit trailhead at Fraser Park (reached via the Amphitheatre walkway and the track towards Grasstree lookout) down to Sleipner lookout. Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service lists Nurim summit to Sleipner as Grade 3, 3.4 km return, allowing about an hour. The track winds through lemon-scented gums, pink bloodwoods and forest she-oaks, with sea breezes off the Capricorn Coast and panoramas of the Berserker Range (Waaruin) from Sleipner. Remember the walk back to the summit is all uphill. Fraser Park is at the top of Pilbeam Drive, a steep 5 km sealed road from Frenchville Road. Hot and exposed: start early and carry plenty of water.
