Lady Musgrave Island Track (~0.69 km one way) in Capricornia Cays National Park — a short sandy walk across Lady Musgrave Island, a coral cay on the southern Great Barrier Reef, through shady pisonia forest to the island's beaches and reef flat. Seabirds and turtles nest here: stay on the marked track, keep well back from nesting birds and turtles, and take all rubbish with you. Day trips run by boat from the Town of 1770. Access is by boat only. Hot and exposed: start early and carry plenty of water. Seasonal: tracks may close after heavy rain, in the wet season or during fire management; check Queensland Parks alerts before you go. Check in at GPS points to earn ACTIVE Coins.
