Walsh's Pyramid Track (~3.04 km one way) in Wooroonooran National Park — a steep, sustained climb from the day-use area at the foot of Walsh's Pyramid, the striking granite peak above Gordonvale, through open forest and grassland to the summit, with wide views over the Mulgrave valley cane fields and the Wet Tropics ranges. Very steep with loose rock and little shade: start early, carry plenty of water and turn back if it is hot or wet. Hot and exposed: start early and carry plenty of water.
