Minyon Falls Walking Track (~3.79 km mapped loop; NPWS lists the walking track as 13 km return) in Nightcap National Park — the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service walk below Minyon Falls, listed at 13 km return (3 to 4 hours) and graded Grade 3. It can be started from either the Minyon Falls lookout picnic area or Minyon Grass picnic area, and winds through rainforest and tall forest along the Nightcap escarpment, past fern-lined creeks and a stand of old-growth brushbox trees on the western side of Repentance Creek, to the base of the falls. NPWS notes there is no public access within 100 m of the top of Minyon Falls. A section of Nightcap Range Road is closed for landslide repairs, so reach Minyon Falls via Minyon Drive only. This is a remote walk with unpredictable weather: tell someone your plans. Remote area with little or no phone coverage: tell someone your plans, carry plenty of water and a map.
